THE ARTIST WOES
Back in October 2004, I wrote a comic book script for the Chicago comic book convention (Wizard World). One of the comic publishers, Arcana [link] was immediately interested and in Jan. 2005 I got a contract for publication. Which means once my book is completed (with an artist doing the pencils, inks and colors), the book IS going to be published. Thats amazing news, getting a contract for my first pitch.
Bad news?? I haven't been able to keep an artist around long enough to finish one issue, much less the five issues (120 pages) needed to complete the book (it is going to be sold as a graphic novel, because sales are much better for those than single issues). And, as you can see with my current financial troubles, I can barely pay anyone to stick around to complete the book.
So I am once again in DESPERATE need for a comic book artist (hopefully with some paneling experience!!) for my book. Do you want to get published? Do you want to start your comic book career with a book that WILL get published?? Please let me know!!!!
But what's in it for you? Co-ownership. Basically, it means you will own half of my comic...meaning, you'll get half of all profits from publication on (for those following comic book news, the owner/editor for Arcana now works with a company that turns comic into movies/cartoons, etc....so there might be a larger future for my comic than just comic books!!!). If that sounds like a good deal to you, please send me a note!! Again, I am looking for a comic book artist with some experience, who'd be willing to work on 120 pages as well as issues beyond that.
Thanks everyone!!!
THE FINANCIAL WOES
Hey guys, looks like financial troubles have been hitting me increasingly hard over the past week....I've been giving highly stressful reminders at how bad the situation is and such. Won;t go into details, for privacy's sake. But it does amount to some fairly bad times.
EDIT: My good pal *Audley has come to the rescue, offering an art auction of such a scale that perhaps have never been seen on DA before!!! And so many FABULOUS artists have joined! ;___; I am so touched and thankful for all the work they are putting in for my sake...as well as all the bidders and purchasers of my stuff!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I'm a writer and I don't even think I can put into words how I feel....so many people have come to my rescue, sparing me from a horrible financial pitfall...I don't think words alone can express how I feel! So again, thanks to everyone!!

I will pray for you loads though! I hope you'll get out of the money problem quickly.
